Information. Is it memetic?
The invisible thread binding us to each other and to all things material and immaterial. So potent is this code that nature has weaved it into something meaningful for 4.5 billion years here on earth.
The images of phones, pictures and media in this video are self explanatory, but maybe the little puppy and snow white are a little more obfuscate.
The puppy was something I captured whilst in Japan. I was enraptured not only by how adorable this puppy was, but that she would not face the passerbys. She continously looked inwards to the shop so I thought something spectacular most be occurring. To my bemusement, I looked inside the pet shop and lo and behold, I saw what the puppy saw. Other puppies were thrown together in a play pen and having a grand ol time. I then spoke to the staff enquiring why this puppy had been segregated. I was told that because she had this spectacular patterned fur, she was highly valued and hence was a lure to get people in to buy the cheaper, plainer puppies. I sometimes wonder, why people still cannot understand that inclusion is paramount to happiness. Whether things are separated by esteemed value or regarded as something common, segregation is a source of anxiety. Yet, we are now treading on a path which will divide us because of perceived differences rather than celebrate commonality.
SnowWhite….. Disney, if you believe the current press, is a source of aggravation due to its antiquated notions of gender roles and racial stereotypes. The thing with fairytales that people miss is, that the individual characters are representations of all the elements which are inherent in one being. People tend to be very literal in their interpretation of written works throughout time. Today, the conventional awakening/rescuing of the feminine by the masculine can be seen for what it truly is, that is, the self awakening. I argue most of us start from a “feminine” perspective in life. This is a biological trait to ensure the infant survives to adulthood whereby it will then “awaken” to challenge and change the system. If the infant started with “masculine” traits of being headstrong, devoid of fear and charged forward, very few would live to an age to exercise the ability to make valid judgments. Children are “programmed” to listen and to believe in elders. Nature has put this mechanism in place to ensure they live. We all will reach a point of awakening where we start to question and challenge the status quo… This is akin to getting a kiss from the prince, to rise up again and to experience life completely anew. The masculine side of us arises not to terminate the feminine but to join it in unison for the completion of the being. If people see this, then the stories are in fact, quite beautiful and not at all backward as it becomes a story borne by all of us.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to seeing you again next video :).
