Today I talk about 5 myths or misconceptions about depression. I hear these a lot and I know that many of you have heard these. I just wanted to create this so that you could share it with those who maybe don’t “get” what it can feel like to be depressed, and hopefully we can spread more awareness together!
The 5 myths I talk about are:
1. People with depression are just really sad.
2. That people who are depressed can just snap out of it.
3. It’s obvious when someone is depressed.
4. That there is only one type of depression.
5. Antidepressants simply fix depression.
Now I know that you have heard so many more, so please share them in the comments along with what the truth is. That way we can debunk many more myths together! xox
